I would like 1) to either remove the first (or all) of the title rows in the Stats, or 2) be able to completely change the words to something without a count. -- Search results concerning the changing of the text only addressed changing a word here and there and not removing the number or changing the entire thing -- Search results concerning the removal of the title row completely returned a code by Ryan Fan, but it didn't work for me: http://index.ifcode.com/advert_redirect.php?un=http://z9.invisionfree.com/iFusion/index.php?showtopic=453 I have used my AdminCP to turn of the 2nd and 3rd parts of the Stats so that only the first row is showing: http://z10.invisionfree.com/ThePlayground/index.php?act=idx and I wonder if that could be part of the reason Ryan Fan's code isn't working for me. I will be happy with either solution, though my 1st preference is to just remove the title row. Edited by bantymom, Nov 30 2009, 07:59 PM.

I just tested that code in my test forum, it's working fine. It removes the three rows inside Stats, are you saying you want to completely remove stats? Or maybe you want to Remove Stats' Header? I see on your page it is working, and everything but the Detailed List area is gone. |

Looking at your board, Ryan Fan's code is working for you. Your active user(s) row is hidden, and since you've removed the other parts of your board statistics, they automatically won't show up since the entire block is hidden, and if the blocks were visible and Ryan Fan's code was still in your board wrappers, those rows would be hidden as well. As far as I can see, the code is working fine and you have the results you're asking about. |

Completely confused, I couldn't believe it was just my imagination, and sure enough, it was still there for me. Here is a screenshot as it appears on my screen, in Safari:![]() I thought, hmm, maybe it's a browser thing? So, I tried again in FF.... yep, you guessed it, no title row. I never use FF, so it hadn't occurred to me that that was the problem. I promise to check both browsers next time. Were either of you using IE 8? by any chance? Thank you both for your patience and willingness to work with me on this. Edited by bantymom, Dec 1 2009, 12:00 AM.

Firefox for the win, lol. Its because different browsers read coding differently. So, do you still need a code? Or are you fine? |

It would be nice if I knew for sure that it worked on IE 8 (I don't think I can put that on my Mac to check it) and if I could get it to work in Safari, but if that isn't possible or would take a lot of work, then I guess I'm done. |

Thank you very much for going to that extra bit of trouble. I have done nothing to it. All I can think of is that after trying Safari 4, I went back to Safari 3 (With an iffy DSL connection that continually cuts out, I can't stand to give up my blue progress bar. With Safari 4, I can't tell if it's just long to load of if it's stuck), it must be a Safari 3 problem. So, since I doubt that anyone else would want to keep Safari 3, I'm going stick a fork in it and call it done. Thank you for all your help. I'm sure I'll becoming up with another code I want. |

Yeah, unfortunately codes won't always work in all browsers. It seems to be working in FF (3.5.5), Safari 4, and IE 8 which are major browsers with their common versions. If you wanted to do this through your CSS so it will work for everyone for sure. I would just be cautious because I don't know 100% that there isn't another .pformstrip on another page of the board, so while this will remove the one's on the index, I can't say there aren't more of these on other pages. It's no big deal if there are more, you can always just replace the CSS with what you had before. Find this in your CSS:
And replace it with this:
Give that a try and if nothing is missing from that, use that method instead of the code. If something is, then revert back to using what you are using. |
